Circularity in fashion isn’t a trend, it’s a transformation. RE&UP is proud to take another step forward with BESTSELLER’s leading women’s brand ONLY, turning a jersey program of basic tops into garments made from next-generation recycled polyester.
This partnership shows what’s possible when innovation, expertise, and ambition come together. By leveraging RE&UP’s textile-to-textile recycling technology, ONLY has converted end-of-life textiles into fibers that meet the same performance standards as virgin materials – and brought them straight to stores. Designed to work at scale without compromising quality, the ONLY program converted over 11 styles from conventional polyester to RE&UP’s Next-Gen Polyester. This equates to more than 100,000 t-shirts, proving that textile-to-textile recycling is commercially viable today, not just aspirational.
Built for the long run
For brands looking to embrace circular textiles, the message is clear: scaling is possible, and trusted partners are essential. With RE&UP’s expertise and proven technology, recycled fibers can be integrated at scale, helping brands reduce reliance on virgin materials while maintaining durability and performance.
Partnerships like the one with ONLY also contribute to broader industry transformation. Tier 4 of the supply chain – fibers and raw materials – accounts for 24% of the textile sector’s greenhouse gas emissions (2025 Recycled Polyester Challenge, Textile Exchange 2021). With polyester making up a significant share of global textile production, transitioning to recycled polyester is a crucial step in reducing environmental impact.
“This project proves that scaling the production of recycled polyester from textile waste is achievable. Transforming the industry is undoubtedly a complex and lengthy process, but initiatives like this demonstrate we are making progress” says Ozgur Atsan, Chief Commercial Officer at RE&UP.
